A Message from Area 4 Director
Beth Montgomery |
Area 4 in 2010 –
Hi All –
Hope this message finds
you all doing well and surviving the winter months – they
can be long and cold!
Area 4 is moving on in
2010 and heading into our next 50 years, let’s reflect as we
often do in a new year:
What can we do the next
50 years to make Harmony better? To make our Area better?
Let’s come together as an Area and make our goals this year
to be:
1) Improve our music –
we can always work harder, work smarter and use the basics
to grow in our music;
2) Resolve to reach out
– to our members, to new members, to our youth and to our
community. With Harmony Awareness Week Feb. 8-13th,
we have a perfect opportunity to share our music with the
community. Go to your city directors – have them proclaim
it Harmony Awareness Week and sing to those officials for
Valentine’s Day!
3) Let’s look to be
creative in our fund raising. With these tough times, we
have to write grants, approach business for sponsorships and
take the initiative to see where we can help our chapters
financially.
And lastly, let’s never
forget the name of our organization and all that we have
stood for in 50 years and will stand for in 50 more –
Harmony – from our hearts and voices!!
May we all flourish in
2010!!
Take care.
In Harmony,
Beth Montgomery
